LMUANTI-RACISM MODULE AUTHOR
As a Junior Communications Major, Hannah Baker proposed, created, and accomplished the implementation of the first anti-racism module to exist at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, through LMU CARES.

THE ANTI-RACISM MODULE
Over the summer of 2020, I proposed that LMU create an anti-racism module to be integrated into all orientation classes for all incoming LMU students. I spent the month of April creating and refining a proposal praying that LMU would accept and , fortunately, they did. I started this project simply out of my passion for my social justice and my black community and felt a responsibility to do my loved ones justice.

I am not the first to speak about the movements that have taken place on Loyola Marymount University drive, and I am speaking now because I refuse to be the last.
Not just for the sake of my skin tone, but to preserve the hope for our future; that we can leave this campus with the confidence that we will never be the last one to speaks out against injustice. In those numbers, we find more than solidarity, we find communion.
